Vineyard Tour

Great wines begin with great grapes and during our Vineyard Tour you’ll learn how we cultivate the very finest grapes possible in our estate vineyards. This distinctive tour gives guests the opportunity to sample the grapes in the vineyards for a unique experience that highlights the artistic process from grapes to the bottle.

From Barnett Vineyards.

Tours and tastings at Barnett Vineyards are private and arranged by appointment only. No more than eight people are included in each tour to ensure an intimate experience. The event begins in our barrel room with a glass of either Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc and then Pinot NoirPinot Noir. These tastings go hand in hand with an introduction to the property, its vineyards and the wines.

The group then moves through part of the vineyard to the observation deck on the top of Rattlesnake Hill to taste Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The deck provides a view of most of the estate vineyards; leading to conversations about mountain farming practices, vine spacing, etc. The deck also affords magnificent views of the Napa Valley floor 2000 feet below. Cabernet Members are welcome to reserve a picnic lunch at one of several intimate tables located on the property.

Depending on the time of year, the tour finishes back in the barrel room, perhaps with a barrel taste of a new vintage of Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon or Rattlesnake Hill Cabernet Sauvignon (if available). The tasting experience at Barnett Vineyards is casual, intimate and informative. It is our goal for you to enjoy yourself while visiting and learning about this special place on Spring Mountain.

- Go into town of St. Helena, via Hwy 29
- Turn Left on Madrona Avenue (3rd Stop Light)
- Drive 3 blocks to Spring Mountain Road - turn Right
- Drive approximately 5.3 miles to the top of the hill
- Turn right at row of mailboxes at Napa/Sonoma County Line
- On paved road, take the right fork and follow signs to Barnett Vineyards

From Santa Rosa
- From Hwy 101 - Exit Hwy 12
- Follow directions on Hwy 12 to Sonoma
- Turn Left at Calistoga Road (by Prickett's Garden Center)

From Bouchaine Vinyards

We invite you to visit us at Bouchaine Vineyards, in the heart of the Carneros wine country in Napa Valley. We have a wine tasting room where you can taste and purchase our latest Bouchaine Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, and an array of small lot, limited quantity exclusive wines sold only in the tasting room.

Open from 10:30am to 4pm seven days a week most of the year. In the winter, we MAY shorten our Sunday hours to 12pm to 4pm. Please call us if you plan to visit us on Sundays in the winter, or if you need information regarding our holiday closings.Call ahead at 800-654-WINE with any larger groups.

We also offer specials to make your wine country experience even more memorable. Our hospitable staff will be glad to set you up with the perfect visit to Bouchaine. There are limousine, car, and bike tour services available that can bring you to Bouchaine and the rest of Napa Valley and Sonoma County on your wine country journey.

Please note: Use of our picnic grounds is reserved for our wine club members and guests with reservations only. As a working winery, Bouchaine requests that all guests be over the age of 21.

From Beringer Vineyards

Tasting wine is undoubtedly one of the big attractions of Napa Valley. Our historic estate offers several tasting rooms where you can sample our unparalleled selection of wines and learn more about winemaking. Our tasting room staff knows everything about the wines and can help you choose those that will best suit your wine preferences.

The Old Winery Reserve Tasting Room glows with warm redwood and features elegant wines that are full-bodied, rich and complex in flavor. Here, wine lovers taste Reserve, Library and limited release wines while surrounded by historic photographs of the estate. The Reserve Room menu typically includes our critically acclaimed Private Reserve Chardonnay and Private Cabernet Sauvignon, our intense Howell Mountain Bancroft Ranch Merlot and our luscious Nightingale dessert wine. Choose four wines from an extensive menu for only $25.

The Old Bottling Room housed the winery’s original bottling facility. Today, the tasting room features a wide range of light and medium wines. Taste red, white or blush wines from the Napa Valley and beyond. We often show wines that are only sold at the winery. Join the fun and select three wines from a seasonal menu. The tasting fee of $10 includes a Beringer souvenir glass!

The winery is open daily – except Thanksgiving; Christmas and New Year's Day.

From Domaine Carneros By Taittinger

The main Château and terrace are open 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily (except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day).

One of the few wineries where you can relax at a table and enjoy the view. Table service is provided. Wines may be tasted in flights, by the glass or by the bottle. Caviar and artisan cheese plates matched to our wines are also available.

Club members enjoy a private room and terrace.

The Domaine Carneros château is a landmark of the Carneros region. Completed in 1989, the classic 18th century château-style building was architecturally inspired by the historic Château de la Marquetterie owned by principal founder, Champagne Taittinger. The Pinot Noir Facility sits just behind the main chateau and was styled after a French carriage house. Built in 2003, this state-of-the-art facility houses one of the largest photovoltaic systems on any winery in the world.

Public tours are conducted daily, at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Tours last approximately 50 minutes. Reservations may be made in advance (space is limited). There is a $25 per person charge.

Tours include a brief DVD presentation and a walking tour of our sparkling wine production process and a guided tasting along the way of our three sparkling wines and one of our pinot noirs. In addition to English, the DVD is available in Spanish, French, German and Japanese.

For parties of 10 or more, we offer private group tours, by appointment only.

Tours are scheduled between 10:00am and 3:30pm.
